It is very unique in its flavour and can add some zing to many dishes. <!--more-->So far I haven&#8217;t tried it cooked.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Vegan-Gluten-free-Capsicum-Water-Cress-Fritters-Recipe-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8137\" src=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Vegan-Gluten-free-Capsicum-Water-Cress-Fritters-Recipe-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"1067\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since I&#8217;m a big fan of fritters, I decided to make a watercress fritter. My favourite local capsicum growers brought back their yummy capsicums to the farmers market, so they had to play role too!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Vegan-Gluten-free-Capsicum-Water-Cress-Fritters-Recipe-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8139\" src=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Vegan-Gluten-free-Capsicum-Water-Cress-Fritters-Recipe-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"1067\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I have fried them in my favourite non stick pan where you literally need no oil. Just make sure you preheated the pan \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Vegan-Gluten-free-Capsicum-Water-Cress-Fritters-Recipe-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8138\" src=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Vegan-Gluten-free-Capsicum-Water-Cress-Fritters-Recipe-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Please note that some people do not recommend consumption of watercress for pregnant women.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Vegan-Gluten-free-Capsicum-Water-Cress-Fritters-Recipe-4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8140\" src=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Vegan-Gluten-free-Capsicum-Water-Cress-Fritters-Recipe-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>For about 6 fritters you&#8217;ll need:<\/h3>\n<p>3\/4 cup (110g) corn (maize) flour<br \/>\n1 tablespoon psyllium fiber husk<br \/>\n1 teaspoon salt<br \/>\n1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon ground cumin<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon baking powder<\/p>\n<p>2\/3 to 1 cup water<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 onion, finely chopped<br \/>\none small capsicum, chopped in fine strips<br \/>\na few sprigs of watercress (to your taste)<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>1. Mix the dry ingredients in a medium sized bowl.<\/p>\n<p>2. Add water and mix well.<\/p>\n<p>3. Stir in chopped onion, slices capsicum and roughly plucked watercress leaves. Mix well. The dough should be quite watery.<\/p>\n<p>4. Heat frying pan and scoop even portions into the frying pan. Cook with medium heat for about 10 minutes on each side.
