I’m a big fan of home-made gifts. Especially edible, home-made gifts. So I’ve been playing around with some ideas. One of my favourites is good old chocolate.

These suggestions should get you started on my making your own delicious chocolate and play around with flavours 🙂

For the ‘cream’ layer:

20g cacao butter, melted

60g coconut milk powder (or other plant-based milk powder)

For the dark chocolate layer:

80g cacao paste, melted

40g finely ground coconut sugar (or more if you like it sweet)

1. Mix the ingredients for the ‘cream’ layer in a cup that sits in a bowl with warm water. Stir to dissolve, it may take some time.

2. For the chocolate layer, mix the ingredients for the ‘cream’ layer in a cup that sits in a bowl with warm water. Stir to dissolve.

3. Let the mixtures cool down so they are just slightly warm.

4. To create a marble effect like in the photos, first drizzle some ‘cream’ into the chocolate mold. Then cover it with the dark chocolate layer, repeat until mold is filled.

5. Let cool down for a few hours, preferably in fridge. Remove from mold and keep in a cool place, away from sunlight 🙂
