Especially this simple and naughty version: fried and glazed in soy sauce. And if you add a few drops of liquid smoke, it is simply taste-bud-blowing!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Vegan-Gluten-free-Smoky-Tofu-Strips-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9287\" src=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Vegan-Gluten-free-Smoky-Tofu-Strips-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t have liquid smoke in your pantry yet, I recommend that you buy some (make sure it really is only smoke and water, without nasty additives). It adds a very nice flavour to a variety of dishes. There is a bit of controversy about the safety of this flavouring. However I don&#8217;t use it that often. And you also need just a few drops.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Vegan-Gluten-free-Smoky-Tofu-Strips.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9288\" src=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Vegan-Gluten-free-Smoky-Tofu-Strips.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"1067\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These tofu strips can serve as a side in dishes like <a href=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/?p=268\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Creamy Mushroom Sauce<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/?p=127\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Simple Asparagus Sauce<\/a>. But they also make a nice snack with some fresh salad and veges in a sandwich. YUM!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Vegan-Gluten-free-Smoky-Tofu-Strips-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9289\" src=\"https:\/\/theveganmonster.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Vegan-Gluten-free-Smoky-Tofu-Strips-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>For 220g of Tofu you&#8217;ll need:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>1-2 tablespoon gluten-free soy sauce<br \/>\n15 drops liquid smoke<br \/>\n1 tablespoon cooking oil (I prefer coconut-oil)<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>1. Cut the tofu in fine slices or any other shape you like.<\/p>\n<p>2. In a cup mix the soy sauce with the liquid smoke.<\/p>\n<p>3. Fry the tofu with the oil on both sides til golden. Take off the heat and wait a moment until it stops sizzling.<\/p>\n<p>4.
